Boeing reported another widebody deal, with flydubai announcing the purchase of 30 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners.

This marks the entry of the Dubai-based airline into widebody aircraft operations. The deal aims to open new international routes and increase capacity on existing ones.


Emirates buys 55 Boeing 777-9, 35 777-8 jets, and five 787 Dreamliners

Emirates, the world’s largest Boeing 777 operator, bought 55 777-9 and 35 777-8 wide-body airliners, expanding its 777X backlog to 205 aircraft.

“We’ve been closely involved in the 777 program since its start up until this latest generation of 777X aircraft,” Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, founder and CEO of Emirates commented. “The 777 has been central to Emirates’ fleet and network strategy of connecting cities on all continents non-stop to Dubai.”

In addition, the airline also bought five more Boeing 787 jets, growing its 787 backlog to 35, while converting 30 787-9s to 20 787-8 and 10 787-10 airplanes.


First aircraft order: Sun Express orders 45 Boeing 737 MAX

The order game is on at Dubai Airshow 2023! Boeing just announced an order for 45 Boeing 737 MAX by the Turkish low-cost airline Sun Express, with options for 45 more aircraft. 28 of the firm orders will be for MAX 8, and 17 will be for MAX 10. The air carrier already had an existing backlog for 42 737-8, of which 9 were delivered.
