It looks like GoPro is readying an announcement for the HERO12 Black later this month, with an expected availability to purchase of September 13, 2023. This follows DJI, who announced the 1/1.3″ sensor equipped OSMO Action 4. By the looks of the rumored specifications, the HERO12 Black is a very evolutionary upgrade to the HERO11 and appears to use the same 1/1.9″ sensor from its predecessor.
The biggest upgrade for the HERO12 appears to be battery life with impressive increased runtimes of up to 70 minutes when shooting 5.3K/60p.

You can currently grab the GoPro HERO11 Black for $349, which looks like a better purchase option for a lot of people considering the slightly evolved specifications of the HERO12 Black.
